I really like your face! & wrinkles!

The face is the first thing you see...every time we laugh and smile or frown, over time it creates lines and what we call "wrinkles"! Please don't look at this as a bad thing...these lines prove that you "lived" your life, no matter your mood...you weren't afraid to show it.

Today my dad moved away and my sister and I went to say goodbye. If you would have asked me yesterday if I were sad I would have said not really. Now Today is a different story...I get there and when my poppa hugs me goodbye, I cry!  Mind you I am not your typical girl that is normally emotional, so the tears dropping came as a surprise to me also....so now my sister, my dad and I are all crying as he is in the car about to drive to the airport and I look at this strong man and think, "Wow, he is so beautiful, even when crying." I can see his sadness and shock from his own emotions, my sister and I also, but it was so sweet to see his eye wrinkles while crying, as if it made his emotion more real! It was beautiful to see....especially because he is a "mans man" and not the crying sort. So I think, "How come woman can't embrace this natural aging course the way most men do?"

So my point is this.....please don't succumb to the American standard that you need Botox or anything of the sort! Embrace your life and the lines that show it. Because other wise one day you will be laughing and crying and no one will be believe that you mean it haha.

I'm not saying you shouldn't get plastic surgery because I actually am not against it at all, but try not to over-do it! Just remember that you are beautiful!

LUSH LASHES!!!!

Lately people keep telling me my lashes are long....trust me when I say they are average length and really straight. Especially since I have done makeup on so many different faces I have seen lashes worth comparing mine to.  So let me tell you a few tricks....

1- Don't wipe off all the goopy mascara that is on the brush, instead use the tip to coat the lashes with the goop and then use the brush to comb and separate the lashes.

2- Don't get in a rush!  Almost all mascaras are "buildable" but if you keep applying coat after coat, all you are doing is wiping the mascara OFF.  Soooo instead add your 1st coat and let it dry for a quick minute (be productive & do your foundation or something else) then apply the 2nd coat (and continue until perfect).

3- Let dry a little bit, but not completely and use the side of your pointer finger to curl and bend the lashes closer to your eye lid.....
The theory is this: when your hair is wet you can get it to hold a curl if you let it dry how you "mold" it......so do the same with your lashes.  This is safer and causes no damage to the lashes like an eyelash curler would.  Give it a try.

4- Extra Tip: For those with really short top lashes, refrain from putting mascara (little to none) on your bottom lashes...this causes a contrast that will make your top lashes look longer.

Fall Leaves!!

I am loving this Fall more then usual. The brown, orange and deep pink leaves are inspiring...so my suggestion this season is to pull out your inner-fall and wear warm browns, coppers and pinks on your eyelids. The fun part about fall is that even though the colors are deep, you can still pull off bright colors too. So if you feel like looking mysterious and fun at the same time don't be afraid to wear brown, copper and deep pinks together for your eye shadow this season!!! Trust me, you will get "double takes" everywhere you go.

Another Suggestion: Wear gold on your lid, and pink in the inner-corners and then do shimmery browns under your eye. Or even the opposite, try a smokey brown on your lid and then wear a copper under your eye. The contrast will make your eyes pop!
